Betel joined Urban Alliance in November 2022 as the College and Career Services Manager. Before joining Urban Alliance, Betel worked at Liberty’s Promise running after-school programs for immigrant high school students on civic engagement, and college and career readiness. Betel has a BA in International Studies from Towson University. In her free time, Betel is highly involved in the Ethiopian-American community in the DMV area, volunteering her time to mentor recently immigrated high school students.
