Jazmin Muhammad joined Urban Alliance in August 2022. Before joining Urban Alliance, Jazmin was an IB Extended Essay Coordinator and IB English teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools. She has taught grades 7, 8, 9, and 11 in her career. While in Montgomery County Public Schools, she was the advisor of the Black Student Union and Muslim Student Association, which brought her much fulfillment.

Jazmin received her B.A. in English with a concentration in Technical Writing, a Dual Masters in English Rhetoric and African American Literature both from North Carolina A&T State University. She spent time at the University of North Carolina Charlotte earning coursework in Education resulting in a Secondary English Teaching certification in grades 7-12.
