Nirad Joseph-Kavoori joined the Urban Alliance team in June 2022 as a High School Internship Program Lead for the Greater DC Area. Before joining Urban Alliance, Nirad served as a Partner Teacher at Horace Mann Elementary School, providing academic support for three 5th grade classrooms, running an after-school club, and conducting behavioral interventions with high-need students.

Nirad was born and raised in Athens, Georgia, and went to Georgia State University to obtain his bachelor’s degree in Public Management and Policy, with a concentration in Economic Development and Planning. Nirad is passionate about empowering youth in Washington DC, whether in the classroom or through opportunities such as the High School Internship Program.
