Sharif joined Urban Alliance Baltimore in October 2023, taking on high school students, assisting them in their transformation from interns to young professionals in the Program Internship Lead. Sharif brings with him a background in youth development, broadcast, communications, journalism, media, and collegiate leadership experience. Sharif has worked in the media field for over 10 years coupled with 5 years in the urban education and enhancement space. Sharif is coming to Urban Alliance from Charles Houston Recreation Center as a Teen Coordinator and WETM 18 News, and 7 Mountains Media as a Multimedia Journalist, Anchor, and On-Air Host. He holds a Masters Degree in Sports Administration from Delaware State University, and A Master’s degree in Broadcast & Digital Journalism with a Sports Media And Communications Emphasis.

Serving as the Internship Program Lead, Sharif plans to teach and instill valuable tools, resources, and skills to empower the youth to excel beyond the workforce and create a meaningful and purposeful life while elevating in the adult world.
