Eva Chaves joined Urban Alliance as a High School Internship Program Lead for the Greater DC Region in September 2023. She received her bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies with a concentration in criminal justice and a minor in Spanish from James Madison University. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Before coming to Urban Alliance, she supported the daily operations and administration of a national non-profit focused on promoting justice for all children by ensuring excellence in youth defense. She also interned at a therapeutic day treatment center practicing individual and group counseling with youth with various behavioral disorders. She hopes to uplift and empower youth to be the best versions of themselves and is committed to paving their pathway to success.
