Urban Alliance’s CEO, Eshauna Smith, has been invited to give a talk at the first annual TEDxPennsylvaniaAvenue event.
The theme of this event will focus on “What Works?” at the local, national, and international levels. Eshauna will join other forward-thinking innovators from organizations such as the Washington Post, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Bloomberg Philanthropies to name a few. These innovators will have the opportunity to share their ground-breaking ideas with bipartisan leaders in the nation’s capital.
TED is a non-profit organization committed to spreading ideas that have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and change on our world.
TEDxPennsylvaniaAvenue will be held on June 24, 2015 with 450 guests anticipated to attend. Eshauna’s TEDTalk will focus on her personal experiences growing up in Los Angeles, the impact that youth employment had on her life, and the impact that meaningful employment opportunities can have to end the cycle of poverty affecting so many youth.
Although the event is currently sold out, Urban Alliance will be live tweeting the event throughout the day. Interested in following the talk? Follow us on Twitter @UrbanAlliance using the #WhatWorks hashtag.
