UA reached a new record during Spring2ACTion 2018

For the past six years, Urban Alliance has participated in Spring2ACTion – ACT for Alexandria’s 24-hour, online fundraising day supporting nonprofits serving the city. Every year, our fundraising has surpassed the year before, and 2018 was no exception. We raised a record-breaking $35,098 thanks to individual gifts from over 350 donors, as well as a match grant from the Bruhn-Morris Family Foundation and more than $5,500 in prizes from ACT for Alexandria. UA’s Spring2ACTion success would not have been possible without the support of our board, partners, alumni, interns, and staff. It was a true community effort, with our largest number of unique donors ever. We are so grateful for the support.

These funds will help provide meaningful, early work experience and job skills training for nearly three of the 70 Urban Alliance interns in Northern Virginia during the 2018-19 High School Internship Program. Each year, we are amazed by the seemingly unending generosity to Urban Alliance. Our partners and friends truly make our program possible and allow our young people to reach even greater heights.
