Chrislin Flanagan

Executive Director, Chicago

Chrislin joined Urban Alliance in September 2023 as Executive Director of the Chicago Region. She is a native Chicagoan who was born and raised on the southside. Chrislin was educated through the Chicago Public School system. She earned a master’s degree in human resource management from Roosevelt University, and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Chicago State University. Chrislin’s professional career spans over 20 years with experience in various industries including Nonprofits, Human Resources, Marketing and Communication, Training and Development, Customer Service, FinTech, and Banking. Prior to joining Urban Alliance, Chrislin served a dual role as Executive Director and Director of Marketing and Community Relations for Roseland Community Hospital Foundation located on Chicago’s far southside. Responsible for strategic development and community initiatives, in this role, annually she served over 2,000 residents by way of resource distribution, training initiatives, and new programs – including internships for high school youth. Chrislin also established a free 24-hour community pantry that houses non-perishable food, and toiletry items. Chrislin is a certified life coach, a published author, and an active volunteer. She considers herself a relatable thought leader who is passionate about decreasing economic barriers in underserved communities. Chrislin lives in Chicago with her husband, their children, and small puppy. She enjoys traveling, live music, and family time.
