Chrislin Flanagan

Executive Director, Chicago

Chrislin Flanagan is the Executive Director for Urban Alliance Chicago, a non-profit headquartered in Washington, D.C. building a diverse next-generation workforce by providing job skills training, mentoring, pre-apprenticeships and paid internships to high school youth and young adults from underserved communities so that they may live a life of economic independence and upward mobility. Working with key partners including Bank of America, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and LinkedIn, as well as the Obama Foundation, Urban Alliance Chicago annually serves more than 1,700 10th and 11th graders and 650 12th graders.

She is a former business owner, published author, certified life coach, and effective professional leader with experience in non-profit, higher education, banking, training and development, HR management, and marketing.

Prior to joining Urban Alliance, Flanagan served a dual role as Executive Director and Director of Marketing and Community Relations for Roseland Community Hospital Foundation located on Chicago’s far southside. Responsible for strategic development and community initiatives, annually she and her team served over 2,000 residents through resource distribution, training initiatives, and new programs – including internships for high school youth. Under her leadership the hospital established a free 24-hour community pantry that houses non-perishable food, and toiletry items.

Hailing from the south side of Chicago, Flanagan is a figure of inspiration and relentless determination. Her journey, marked by resilience and ingenuity, has established her as an avid supporter of under-resourced communities who is deeply committed to community service.
