Chanell Raines joined Urban Alliance in September 2023 as the Program Coordinator for the Obama Youth Jobs Corps. Prior to her role at Urban Alliance, Chanell dedicated herself to community service and youth development. She served as a Trauma Advocate for BrightStar Community Outreach, offering critical support to those in need. Additionally, her commitment to education was evident through her role as an Academic Peer Mentor at Governors State University and as an academic teacher assistant at a charter school.

Chanell is driven by her passion for nurturing the growth of young individuals and fostering their social and emotional development. She firmly believes in the power of empowering today’s youth to become tomorrow’s leaders, one young person at a time. As she continues her journey, Chanell is currently pursuing a master’s degree in leadership and management at Western Governor’s University, further enhancing her skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on the lives of the youth.
