James Tandaric joined the Urban Alliance team in September 2022 as a High School Internship Program Lead for the Greater DC Area. Before joining Urban Alliance, James was an ESL teacher at Center City Public Charter Schools working with students in Preschool and 1st Grade. Prior to that, he taught 2nd and 4th grade at various DC schools.

James was born and raised in Downers Grove, Illinois and went to the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign to get his Bachelor’s in Political Science.  He then got his Master’s in Elementary Education at Trinity Washington University to prepare him for his career in Education. James hopes to empower youth to be their best selves while preparing them for future career success.
